Darren Frost is one of Canada’s most unapologetic stand-up comedians, known for high-intensity, no-filter shows that mix social commentary, blistering rants and razor-sharp timing. Based in Toronto, he’s been touring for more than 25 years across the country, appearing at major festivals and on famously edgy tours like “Rank and Vile” with Kenny Robinson. He’s the rare Canadian comic to self-produce a full box set of material — The Darkness Within: 25 Hours of Uncensored Comedy — featuring more than eight specials and live recordings, which earned him multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominations.
On screen and in the studio, Frost is just as busy. He’s appeared in George A. Romero’s Land of the Dead, the feature film Hairspray (2007), Nicolas Cage’s Pay the Ghost, and had a recurring part as the angry French teacher on CBC’s hit series Mr. D. He’s also a prolific voice actor: kids (and their parents) know him as Squirt on Camp Lakebottom, plus voices on Looped, Total Drama presents: The Ridonculous Race and other Toronto-produced animated series. He continues to perform in clubs and theatres across Canada and was most recently seen on Roast Battle Canada, proving he’s still one of the most fearless, high-octane acts on the scene.
