Campbellton’s Awesome Festival is a not-for-profit organization that is led by some truly awesome individuals seeking to promote the city of Campbellton and its wonderful region by bringing people together with the sole purpose of making them laugh. The week-long festival is devoted to stand-up comedy and aims to consistently bring top awesome comedians to the city and be recognized as one of the premier comedy festivals in Canada while providing the heartwarming and special atmosphere that Campbellton is known for.
“The biggest laughs you’ll ever hear in life are like at a Thanksgiving dinner with a bunch of loved ones. And nothing funny is said, and it just comes from love.”
– Norm MacDonald
The festival’s committee is comprised of people that are passionate about our area and bringing people together to enjoy the most awesome of times.
Princes of Awesome
Marc Savoie
By day, Marc is a respected accountant. By night… well, sometimes he’s a zombie. Seriously — he appeared as one in the cult horror film Blood Quantum. But don’t let the undead makeup fool you — he’s all about keeping things lively.
Marc is proud to be part of a passionate and dedicated team that works together to bring laughter to the city of Campbellton. A longtime fan of stand-up comedy, Marc draws inspiration from the sharp wit of Norm MacDonald and the unpredictable brilliance of Jim Carrey — two legends who shaped his love for the craft.
Whether he’s crunching numbers or helping brainstorm the next hilarious event, Marc brings energy, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the power of comedy. Just be careful if you see him in zombie mode — he might still be hungry for laughs.
Justin d'Entremont
Justin is the guy who keeps the lights on—literally. As the owner of North Shore Communications, he’s the festival’s undisputed master of all things tech, making sure everything from lights and sound to livestreams and last-minute Wi-Fi fixes go off without a hitch.
A passionate supporter of local arts and culture, Justin combines his background in business, technology, and community leadership to help bring world-class comedy to northern New Brunswick. Whether he’s solving backstage tech issues or coordinating big-picture logistics, he does it all with a sense of humour and a spreadsheet.
He believes that laughter brings people together—and he’s proud to help make that happen, one perfectly timed mic check at a time.
Princess of Awesome
Amélie Savoie
Amélie has already perfected the art of living her best cozy life. By day, she’s an accounting wizard—taming spreadsheets and balancing budgets with the finesse of a financial ninja. By night (and most weekends), she retreats to her home where two feline overlords—Luna and Bella—rule the castle and demand scratches on a strict schedule. Her idea of a wild night out? Finishing a book series in one sitting while her cats judge her reactions from the armrest.
Despite her homebody heart, Amélie is no stranger to community life. Whether she’s organizing festivals or helping in the community, she believes in giving back (preferably without leaving her favorite cardigan behind).
Clown Prince of Awesome
Nathan Dimitroff
Thanks to his many tours, his unique blend of humour, high-paced delivery and love for New Brunswick, it’s no wonder that Nathan joined the Awesome Team as the comic-consultant. Well known in Campbellton due to his many shows during Salmon Festival and at Circolo, he knows exactly the level of chaos needed to make an AWESOME festival, therefore making him the Clown Prince.
King of Awesome
Mike Paterson
As a seasoned actor, musician, comedian and self-proclaimed King of Awesome, Mike knows how to keep the party going, the metal heavy, the laughs hollering and the audience on their toes.
Mike rules the realm of ridiculous with a mic in one hand and a punchline in the other. When he’s not cracking jokes, he’s probably crowning himself the winner of arguments he had in the shower. Equal parts charm and chaos, Mike is your go-to guy for laughs, awkward dance moves, and unsolicited dad jokes. Long may he reign—awkwardly, hilariously and awesomely.
